About Lucy Coates
Lucy Coates Osteopathy was born out of a passion for helping people and animals achieve optimal health and well-being. Growing up in North Yorkshire, Lucy spent her childhood immersed in nature, sports, and musical theatre. Despite being an active and sports-oriented individual, she faced the challenges of structural scoliosis, a condition that also affected her older sister, who underwent major surgery to correct it.
Lucy’s journey into osteopathy began with her own experience with an osteopath who treated her scoliosis, allowing her to continue her active lifestyle without the need for surgery. This experience ignited a lifelong passion for osteopathy, leading Lucy to pursue a career dedicated to helping others in the same way.
Lucy graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent, with a Master’s degree in 2022 and has since gained invaluable experience working in busy clinics treating a wide range of clients. She also completed a post-graduate degree in Animal Osteopathy with the Osteopathic Centre for Animals in Oxford, graduating in 2023.
